1. The running of the show is the sole responsibility of the show manager under these show rules.
2. Birds must be the bona fida property (for 28 days) of the exhibitor who must be a full paid member.
3. Members will not be eligible for trophies unless they have paid their subscriptions one month prior to the date of the show.
4. The judge's decision shall be final unless fraud, interference or misrepresentation is proved.
5. Any exhibitor wishing to make a protest must do so IN WRITING to the show secretary before the close of the show and make a deposit of £5 which will be forfeited should the protest fail. Any written protest will be considered by the committee as provided for in rule 10 of the Society's Rules.
6. The Society will take all responsible care of exhibits but the entire risk shall be the exhibitor's responsibility. The Society will under no circumstances be responsible for any loss or damage.
7. No exhibit may be handled during the show except by permission of the Show Manger.
8. The full entry fee as stated in the schedule must be paid. No responsibility will be accepted for telephone entry errors.
9. Exhibitors must abide by the Show Rules formulated by the specialist societies concerned.
10. Exhibitors may state a price at which will sell their exhibits. If claimed these will be sold at the same price and 10% commission be retained by the society.
11. Foreign Birds may be re-classed at any time. Any other entry found to be wrong classed before judging commences may be re-entered. Re-classing of any entry other than a foreign bird will not be considered once judging has commenced.
12. Birds will be accepted up to the time shown on the schedule. Judging will commence promptly at the time shown and birds not delivered by then will be to late for judging.
13. Where two exhibitors or exhibitor's birds reside at the same address but exhibit different varieties they may exhibit in classes according to their qualifications such persons showing the same variety must show in the higher status.
14. No birds will be accepted in poor state of health. Poor condition of cage or wrong cage for the species of bird at the show manager's discretion.
15. Any matter not covered by these rules to be dealt with by the show manager and two committee members.
16. Any alteration to these rules should be put in writing to the secretary 14 days prior to the A.G.M.
17. All trophies to be perpetual , with small replicas of the major awards to be presented annually provided the society's funds
Are sufficient to allow it. Trophies should be returned to the show secretary at or by the annual members show. In case of a member leaving the country he/she shall hand over all properties of the society one month before leaving.
NOTE whilst judging is in progress only officially appointed stewards will be at the judging stands. All stewards are reminded that they must place birds before the judge and retire to a reasonable distance and refrain from talking to the judge unless approached by the judge.
